One Year

blog-2.jpg

It has now been one year since we moved back into the old red church building on Great George Street. After planning and permission we spent all last week, from early in the mornings until late at night remodeling the front of the church building.

It looks amazing!!!

Tim Bailey lead the rebuilding efforts on our non-existent budget using whatever we already had or reusing the things which we tore apart. So many people gave time to pound nails, to tidy, to climb ladders, to demolish, to rebuild, to do whatever needed doing. I am so amazed by the enthusiasm and hard work of the people in our church.

Thank you to all who prayed and all who worked so hard!!!

ha, it’s fun to look back over the year: the move in day, the team effort, the mould, the bible read throughweek, the wallpapering, the laying carpets, the cleaning, the prayer room, the two services a week, the heating, the new faces, the visitors, the last year’s blessings!!!

what a beaut of a sanctuary these days though..everyone deserves coffee and treats!

Wow, the video by Irwin is fantastic! Was there a “Curtain reformation” in the past….one where ugly curtains were put up to cover up the incredible architecture of churches all over Scotland?
I am struck by what your body can do and is doing, all the time in that building and in the life of Glasgow!

hey Brian- it’s Scott’s friend Katie, just thought I would drop you guys a line and let you know that I know you guys are doing amazing things at re: Hope and I sure wish I was a European now and able to intern with you guys but hey God works in mysterious ways.

I’m helping out your brother here in Portland, well at Grace Chapel. It’s always fun working with the other brother. I did mix up your names once and probably it will happen again.

Back to what I was saying; I wish all of you the best as the ministry of re:Hope moves forward, I can’t wait to visit again and see how much you guys have grown and changed for the better.

God Bless and keep up the good work
